Dale Velzy was the first commercial American surfboard maker, he opened the first professional surf ship in Manhattan Beach, California, in 1950, personally hand shaping surfboards and repairing boards. By 1960 he had five retail shops and three production facilities in California and Hawaii. This flyer advertises his five retail locations, with the tagline “Every surfboard has a trade-in value”.
