Retail Sales Representative

Saturdays is seeking full-time and possible part-time retail sales representatives for our SoHo location.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify ways to drive sales and ensure action is taken to achieve goals
  • Enhance the customer service and create an environment that is welcoming to customers and coworkers
  • Ensure store presentation and operating standards meet and exceed expectations
  • Basic inventory management and maintenance

Requirements:

  • Strong experience in retail store work and sales is a must
  • Organized, devoted and hard worker
  • Excellent communications skills (oral and written)
  • Computer skills. Knowledge of Shopify POS a plus
  • Knowledge of surfing and surf related equipment a bonus
  • You’re available when we are busy, including: nights, weekends, holidays, and various special events

Cafe Manager

Overview: Join our vibrant team at Saturdays NYC as a full-time Cafe Manager! We are seeking enthusiastic individuals who are passionate about coffee and customer service. As the Cafe Lead, you will be the face of our café, creating memorable experiences for our customers through your coffee-making skills and friendly demeanor.

 

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a barista, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role
  • In-depth knowledge of coffee varieties, brewing methods, and latte art techniques
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for providing outstanding customer service
  • Strong leadership abilities, with the capacity to motivate and inspire team members
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, multitasking and prioritizing tasks as needed
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards

Requirements:

  • As the Cafe Lead, you will be responsible for leading the coffee preparation team and ensuring exceptional service in a fast-paced café environment
  • Your role involves maintaining high standards of quality, aiding in the recruitment process, training staff, and managing inventory

  • Oversee the entire coffee preparation process, including grinding, brewing, and crafting specialty drinks such as espresso-based beverages, pour-overs, and cold brews
  • Ensure consistency and excellence in every cup served
  • Train new baristas on coffee preparation techniques, equipment operation, and customer service protocols
  • Conduct ongoing training sessions to improve skills and knowledge among the team members
  • Monitor the quality of coffee beans, ensuring freshness and flavor consistency
  • Manage inventory levels of coffee beans, syrups, milk, and other supplies
  • Collaborate with management to develop and update the café's beverage menu, incorporating seasonal offerings and new trends in the coffee industry
  • Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner, answering questions about coffee varieties, brewing methods, and flavor profiles
  • Ensure that all coffee brewing equipment, including espresso machines, grinders, and brewers, is properly maintained and calibrated for optimal performance
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations regarding food handling, cleanliness, and sanitation
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, following established hygiene protocols
  • Encourage sales by promoting featured beverages, merchandise, and loyalty programs
  • Use suggestive selling techniques to upsell add-ons such as pastries, snacks, and additional coffee offerings
  • Ability to lift, push/pull, carry and/or move up to 50 pounds

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
